This sounds the same as a Gaussian_process. If so, merge?

The page says that a 1D GRF is a GP, but, in machine learning and kriging, GPs can be defined as functions of arbitrary-dimensional inputs. The GP page on Wikipedia mentions that GP can be indexed by spatial coordinates. Aaronh ( talk) 08:28, 27 December 2018 (UTC) reply
