Not sure how to do it myself, but someone should now update the "former Football League clubs" bit as seen on this page, I think. RobinCarmody ( talk) 05:02, 30 May 2009 (UTC)
I have updated the article to a standard use of grammar and tidied it up. Zerowing22 ( talk) 14:03, 3 July 2010 (UTC)
Should not have early history as this is a different club. May I suggest that this be put on seperate articles? Fergyc123 ( talk)
Whereas I realise it's not a unique thing to any club, a few Gateshead players past and present are now on Twitter with publically readable accounts. Would it be of any relevance to link to this, perhaps link them in with the players section?
Thanks

I haven't seen this happen with any other club articles. If anything, their Twitter accounts would be linked to on the player's own article. Jcarls1 ( talk) 18:02, 7 June 2011 (UTC)

As of the 27th May 2020, Gateshead have announced that they will be forming a Ladies team for the 2020/21 season.
I wonder if someone could potentially create an article about Gateshead Ladies FC as this is the first time that the club have created a women's team.
This is the link to Gateshead's official website, announcing the creation. https://www.gateshead-fc.com/news/heed-to-launch-first-ever-ladies-team-2538623.html — Preceding unsigned comment added by Pizza Slayer ( talk • contribs) 22:58, 28 May 2020 (UTC)
Under the records section, it says that Lee Novak is the record selling fee for 150K. Is Marcus Maddison to Peterborough United not the transfer fee now for 250k? https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/wonderkid-marcus-maddison-says-naivety-7683172 Michaeldble ( talk) 14:11, 13 April 2021 (UTC)
I noticed that 2009 play-off winners was removed from the honours section: "rm non-honours". All other club pages seem to include the play-offs in their honours so I was wondering why this was an exception? Would it not make more sense to include it to maintain consistency with other pages? Michaeldble ( talk) 12:13, 22 March 2023 (UTC)
Just noticed this discussion. I'm surprised to see that play-offs and indeed promotions more generally are apparently not regarded as honours, and quite taken aback that one justification being used to exclude them is that one editor has "hundreds of non-league club articles on [their] watchlist and none of them have being play-off winners in the honours list". Including only league or cup titles seems a very narrow definition of an honour, and I'm surprised that would be the case for club articles when player honours generally include runners-up and promotions. Regarding the List of Gateshead F.C. seasons article, I noticed that this article covers all seasons back to 1930 to include Gateshead A.F.C. which has been defunct since 1973. However, the current club was formed in 1977. Are these not two separate clubs and therefore should there not be two separate articles? Thanks in advance Michaeldble ( talk) 16:20, 22 April 2024 (UTC)
