Regarding the origin of the Christmas decoration: I heard that there was a germanic tradition of hanging the intestines (sp) of enemies on trees around the village. But never saw a source for that. Could anyone comment on this?
The article as it stands just says that a garland is "a decoration". That's too vague; it needs a more specific description to distinguish a garland from other types of decorations. Dugwiki 21:24, 5 December 2006 (UTC)
This article is disappointingly short. Isn't there a section on garlands and garlanding in India? It's a huge part of Indian society at weddings, and as a way of honoring notable people like politicians. Can't someone add this? -- Mezaco ( talk) 04:14, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
I added a line about this poem, but I don't know how to add hyperlinks so could someone please do this for me :) 86.154.44.196 ( talk) 20:30, 15 October 2008 (UTC)
I can add a hyperlink if you wish, but what happened in 1914? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 205.232.191.16 ( talk) 19:11, 6 June 2011 (UTC)
