In literature it does not seem that gametophore is the accepted terminology for what this page is describing. Rather, in Marchantia this seems to be the 'gametangiophore' [1] [2]. In Physcomitrella mosses, the plants transition from protonema/caulonema to gametophore [3] - this seems to be an acceptable use of the term. Frunk10 ( talk) 10:41, 10 June 2024 (UTC)
