Why is this crater spelled with an 'a' after the 'l', if it was meant to be honouring Galilei (who was after all Galilei, not Galilaei)? JackofOz 02:26, 5 Nov 2004 (UTC)

I think it's the latinized version of the name. The crater was named by Giovanni Battista Riccioli, a Jesuit priest. — RJH 23:00, 15 December 2005 (UTC) reply
