I had been looking at [2] ( Frainc 23:48, 15 September 2006 (UTC))
Why are the positions "fixed", why don't some teams play different formations as is common in soccer? GordyB 13:46, 30 October 2007 (UTC)
Do we really need to separate the Right and Left versions of each position? It would help the article if they were combined, in my opinion. As it is, they both use the same description modified for the side of the pitch the position is on, and sometimes have combined language. I would also refine the language of the descriptions a bit, as some of them use redundant language, such as using the name of the position multiple times in the description. I will gladly re-write them if a change is agreed to.
As an example, I would have the following, adapted from the current description:
I think that's clearer and more concise than the current descriptions, which are:
Why is there Irish language in this? Surely that should be reserved for the Irish version of the page?! 80.76.195.144 ( talk) 10:31, 18 January 2013 (UTC)
The "Full forward" seems to be missing on the descriptive picture, replaced by a "Center forward". Is this legit ? -- methodood ( talk) 15:33, 20 August 2019 (UTC)
