IMHO, the article should explain where Gadfly is better than pickle/cPickle and where pickle is better suited.

This database project may seem dead. However, as it is very simple to use, it may still be useful for very simple projects, of which there are many. I like info on Gadfly even if only for quick comparison to other small and useful systems like, e.g., SQLite. But then it might not be worth it to spend a lot of effort restructuring this page.
