Nigh Impossible to verify, but I suspect that the droid's name is a reference to the programming command '
GOTO'. The command itself has often been derided by 'advanced' programmers, the thought being that GOTO shouldn't be used unless no other option is available. Over-use is often considered a sign that the programmer is a novice. The fact that the droid has a dark-side alignment leads me to wonder if there was maybe an in-joke that 'GOTO is Evil!' or something similar going on. -Graptor
/me nods. That makes sense, "goto considered harmful" and all that jive. Perhaps a mention should be added- I think I saw a similar theory on the Obsidian forums. --
