I'm not too sure about the accuracy of that Guardian obit - the name "Ian Allan" is mis-spelled "Ian Allen" twice, and the phrase "joined the family publishing business, the Ian Allan organisation" implies that G. Freeman Allen was part of Ian Allan's family - he was not: there was no relation, merely a tenuous coincidence of names.
Agreed, I didn't include the family business portion on purpose. I think the content I did use was most likely accurate. That said, a source is better than no sources.
