I suppose if you can find the original, which I believe is out of print it will have the indicated cover illustration. The edition currently in print in softcover (Cornell University Press) is simply black text on red. Lycurgus 21:55, 26 May 2007 (UTC)
I don't think he did have a law degree. I think he practised law without a degree. None of the obituaries mention a law degree and his entry in Debrett's People of Today says Educ UCL (BA), Univ of Oxford (DLitt, MA). The BA was his ancient history degree, the MA was by decree/special resolution (not sure if there's a difference) when he became a member of Congregation, and the DLitt was obviously for his published work.-- Oxonian2006 ( talk) 21:06, 18 November 2007 (UTC)
