[1] The authors of the Misliya papers have not even claimed "anatomically modern" for Misliya-1; they've generally used "early modern human". Hawks also questions the classification of the Misliya fossil, see here:
[2]. Misliya isn't Neanderthal, but it isn't necessarily definitely H. sapiens.
