On 21 April 2024, it was proposed that this article be
moved to
Fuck It I Love You. The result of
the discussion was Consensus on first, no consensus on second and third.
Requested move 21 April 2024
The following is a closed discussion of a
requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a
move review after discussing it on the closer's talk page. No further edits should be made to this discussion.
The result of the move request was: Consensus on first and third, no consensus on second. Consensus to move the Lana Del Rey song and to make it the primary topic for
Fuck It, I Love You; no consensus on the second proposal. However, as 162 etc. notes this may be resolved by deleting the Malcolm Middleton song. (

– Per
WP:DIFFPUNCT and
WP:ONEOTHER. The Del Rey song does not include a comma after "It" like the Middleton song. Hatnotes could resolve confusion between the two. Though I do believe that confusion would be minimal as the Del Rey song would appear to be the
WP:PRIMARYTOPIC based on pageviews

Oppose, insufficient disambiguation.
162 etc. (
talk) 16:38, 21 April 2024 (UTC)Edit Struck vote. I'm in favour of deleting the Middleton article, making the title unambiguous; see comment below.

Support first.
Pageviews show the Del Rey song as a clear
WP:primary topic in a
WP:ONEOTHER situation. Neutral on the Middleton song since it gets hardly any views.

That's a good point.
Fuck It, I Love You (Malcolm Middleton song) has been notability tagged since 2012, and appears not to meet
WP:NSONG. If merged, then the Lana Del Rey song becomes the only one with an article, and no parentheticals are necessary.
162 etc. (
talk) 20:34, 21 April 2024 (UTC)reply
Support. A hat note is sufficient here.

Support first as primary topic. Oppose second. A comma is no disambiguator at all. Who's to know which has one and which doesn't? Support third and redirect to the Del Rey song. A hatnote is fine. --

Support all. The Lana Del Rey song is not the primary topic of an incorrectly spelled title. --

Oppose, It would be too confusing for the average reader to change both song's titles to be that similar.
