I've been watching this page trying to fix many inconsistencies, and one of them is putting "Barranquillero Arrebatao" as one of Fruko's well-known hits. While it's true that he recorded this song, his version is a cover released trying to capitalize on the HUGE success that SARABANDA (a half Colombian, half New Yorker salsa band led by José Mangual Jr. and Isidro Infante, which included Alfredo "Chocolate" Armenteros as lead trumpet player) had in 1987 as the original performers of this song. This is the original (and well-known) version:

And this is the LP in which it was released:

It's possible that Fruko's version had some airplay, but if he counts this song as one of his hits, it's not because of his own merits but Sarabanda's. "Barranquillero Arrebatao" should be listed as the #1 hit for Sarabanda, but definitely not as a Fruko song, no matter how much airplay his version had. Fruko has LOTS of ORIGINAL tunes / arrangements that can be added to the "well-known songs" list, and "Barranquillero Arrebatao" is NOT one of them. That's why I'm removing it for the second time (please, don't add it again. Thank you). Alvabass ( talk) 19:44, 28 May 2015 (UTC)
