I couldn't find any reference for "He was also an editor of the Toronto Express newspaper." -- Big_Iron 11:40, 13 December 2005 (UTC)
Was Francis Hincks any relation of Edward Hincks? (Both from Cork, both sons of a presbyterian minister) or Thomas Dix Hincks? Peter Clarke ( talk) 12:11, 8 February 2008 (UTC)
I just wanted to clarify something. In the book "Passport to the Heart: Reflections on Canada Caribbean Relations" By Dr. Trevor A. Carmichael it talks about the flirtations of the West Indies joining into Canada Confederation.
etc.
In the book it expressly says "Sir Francis Hicks" in terms of the letter from the Barbados Agricultural Society (BAS) however I noticed at one point someone changed Hicks to Hinks. Now I left it thinking maybe it was a typo on my part. But I decided to actually try Googling Hicks and I see there was a Hicks. By chance was this Sir Francis Hicks person the same person as Sir Francis Hinks???
