Birthplace of de Grasse

I changed something which is refered to in the Wikiworld as vadalism. The place of birth for the comte de Grasse in the English Wikipedia was listed as "Bare-ofe-shitt". I read the French Wikipedia article on de Grasse, and changed his birthplace to Bar-sur-loup as given in that article. JGC1010 ( talk) 02:59, 12 September 2008 (UTC) reply

Taller than George Washington?

In Dewey Lambdin’s semi-historical novel The King’s Commission it is said that De Grasse lifted George Washington off his feet and hugged him, calling him “Mon petit general”. if there is a safer source from this, it would be an interesting addition to the article.
