New Plot Summary?

Hello! I just found out about this show, and was interested. However, the "introduction of story" section is a bit hard to understand as an English speaker. I've looked at a few descriptions of the story around the internet, and offer this as a replacement:

Many years ago, the humans and the yaoguai (powerful animal-like spirits) were were group, before they split apart and started waging war against one another. Despite this, sometimes, humans and yaoguai fall in love. The problem is that a yaoguai is can live for thousands of years, while a human's life is much shorter. If two beings decide that their love is eternal, they can make a pledge at a special place with an important item, and after the human is reincarnated, the Fox Spirit Matchmaker can help them remember their forgotten past lives and their eternal love. The story follows two fox yaoguai who are matchmakers as they try to reunite lovers, while also discovering more about their own past lives. Of course, not everyone wants to see reunited couples live happily ever after...

I would just tuck this into the article, but I've never watched or read this series, so I don't feel comfortable doing that.

Here are a few notes about my word choices: I used Yaoguai because most of the words used to describe these sorts of beings don't translate well into English. "Ghost," "spirit" and "soul" sound like dead humans, like pale figures that pass through walls. While "demons" are always seen as being evil in a religious way. "Monster" is very similar to demon in that it's ALWAYS evil, and also suggests that there is no human kindness or morals. So, I think it's better to use "Yaoguai" to talk about them.

I read the front page of the fandom wiki ( https://foxspiritmatchmaker.fandom.com/wiki/Fox_Spirit_Matchmaker_Wikia ) as a guide for my plot summary, but tried to trim out a lot of the less relevant exposition and detail :)

hope this helps!
