Back in June, User:217.204.170.78 changed the spelling in the article (but not the article title) from Foudry Brook to Foundry Brook with the comment Should be spelt foundry see maps.
So I did. On the Ordnance Survey Pathfinder map, at SU697655, the Foudry Brook can clearly be seen spelt without an 'n'. That is good enough for me; I'm changing the spelling in the article back. -- Chris j wood 16:57, 22 September 2005 (UTC)
Chris, my older copy of O/S 1:50000 sheet 175 ((c) 1978 2nd series) shows the spelling as Foundry Brook with an 'n' even though my more recent copy ((c) 2006 ed. C2 isbn-13 978-0-319-22920-0)) includes a new 50m contour plus electricity transmission line in squares SU e:68x/69x n:65x, but without the 'n' in the stream's label. I have mailed customerservices@ordnancesurvey.co.uk for comment. Fred, 19-Jul-2013.
