"The site remains dangerous and is not open to the public."
There are warning signs in French, telling folk that is is off limits. Unfortunately, I never really paid attention in French class so was *unable to heed them* on a recent visit. When I visited in December 2019 I had a good look around but ran into a woodland ranger on the way out. He was trying to tell me what I already knew but figured that acting stupid was the best defence. I immediately switched from Welsh accented French to Jamie Oliver and found that "Pucka" "Nice one" and "Yeah..I call it a minute steak baguette" confused him enough for me to get the hell out of dodge. An interesting site with memorials for GI's who were killed there on the plateau. DaioftheTriffids ( talk) 17:40, 21 June 2020 (UTC)
