History of Fort Clinch

I placed an of what? template on the end of first paragraph in the Fort Clinch section. It seems likely that "for the remainder of the war" was intended, but I wondered if the fort continued to be used during Reconstruction. I did see brief mentions that it was used during the Spanish American War. One site, apparently self-published, states that the fort was placed on caretaker status in 1869, briefly reactivated for the Spanish American War, and then abandoned. [1] Hopefully, there are better sources for that. - Donald Albury 20:51, 6 March 2021 (UTC) reply
