Miami-Dade county maintains the island (as evidenced by their logo on the public signs on the island) but my research here indicates that the City of Miami Beach owns the island after accepting the property as a donation in 1939. Is that correct? ( Sobesurfski 15:42, 13 June 2006 (UTC))
