I strongly disagree, it is normal for flags to have their own page, this has enough data to stand on its own and hence should be kept for expansion. Merging with symbols would add nothing.- J Logan t: 19:58, 5 July 2008 (UTC)
Anyone know where that comes from. Whenever anyone talks about it, they always say the origin of the Iris but not why the background is blue. I'd be tempted to say it is a link to the EU, but blue is quite common. However blue is not in the Belgian flag, they city of Brussels flag and isn't that prominent in the flags of the other municipalities (look through them for a lesson on how to be boring, ambiguous and incredibly unoriginal; they seem to copy each other... is this like vlexifasion? Blue and white bicolour is so in this year!). It also isn't in the Flemish or Wallon flags, Brussels isn't know for water or sailing, and it generally isn't a colour you think of for the city. Could just be because it looks nice of course...- J.Logan` t: 17:43, 25 August 2008 (UTC)
