Assessment of article completed by Aurora north on 16 February 2007 for Good Article Status. For any disputes, please talk to me.
I passed this article because it meets all criteria listed. Auroranorth 12:16, 16 February 2007 (UTC)
What Final Fantasy was Dark Cloud from? I don't remember anything of that sort. There's
Final Fantasy V -- Shinryuu, Omega Final Fantasy VII & VIII -- Ultima Weapon & Omega Weapon Final Fantasy IX -- Ozma Final Fantasy X -- the monster arena monsters
where is Dark Cloud?
Dark Cloud was what it was called in this page, I changed it to the official name, which what it will most likely be called in the Final Fantasy III translation. Dark Cloud was from the unofficial translation, as the name didn't fit.
To the guy above, Cloud of Darkness (Dark Cloud) was the last boss in Final Fantasy III. Maybe you're thinking of Final Fantasy VI (Called 3 in North America), the one with Kefka.
The Story section of the article doesn't contain a story; it contains a blurb instead. It would be nice if an actual outline of the full story could be given. Naturally, it's not really possible to do that if it's written the same way the blurb is because of how long it'd be. -- Michiel Sikma 19:27, 31 December 2005 (UTC)
What? Why couldn't we make an acutal descrition of the plot? Its been done on every other page about video games. Kou Nurasaka 14:51, 24 August 2007 (UTC)
am I the only one who feels that the remake's graphics look a lot like FF:CC's graphics?
Despite the name, I really don't think the Scholar should be considered a "mage-type" class. When you first get them they actually do a decent amount of damage from smacking enemies with books, and they can't actually use any magic at all (not even a "special" magic type like the Geomancer has).
Scholars can use some magic (for the DS, anyway), and they can only use up to level 3 magic. Here is gamefaqs guide, if it helps: http://db.gamefaqs.com/portable/ds/file/final_fantasy_iii_ds_job_stats.txt

Given that the DS version is so different from the original (3D!) should it be split off into a seperate article or kept in here? Optichan 15:04, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
I think this has been discussed before, but I'm not sure. The thing about the compilation games is that they contain more than one enhanced version. That's why the WonderSwan Color version of Final Fantasy I is in that article and the Game Boy Advance version is in a seperate one with Final Fantasy II as Final Fantasy I & II: Dawn of Souls. We wouldn't have seperate articles for Final Fantasy IV Advance, etc. However, since it's so radically different we could discuss perhaps renaming the series template section "Compilations and collections" to "Alternate versions" to put a Final Fantasy III (Nintendo DS) article in that way. ~ Hibana 15:46, 10 May 2006 (UTC)
Apparently, the DS version will be online. Details? -- Gaming King 08:16, 11 June 2006 (UTC)
Is anyone going to add the info about the mognet/mail system? If not then I will, with proper reference -- Cocopopz2005
Actually I've gone and addes about it with reference. Though it most likely needs a little cleanup/recheck

If anyone would like to test the Friend Code message functionality (along with bonus class and secret dungeon only accessible through this functionality), get the DS connected to WIFI, and chat with a moogle in a town. A Friend Code to try would be 403812605590. Generate a Friend Code for your game, then post your code in response here, and then we can see how the system works. I believe each user needs to enter the code into their DS in order to be able to communicate with eachother. Should probably link from the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection page too.

I suggest that because FFIII DS is so drastically changed from FFIII NES, it needs a new article to discuss all of its contents fully. - A Link to the Past (talk) 05:46, 28 August 2006 (UTC)
Wasn't the DS version released on the 23rd? I seem to remember that date from when I was in Japan (The Japanese version. (OT)My GF is sending me the Japanese version. Will have it next week. Can't wait!)
Since the game is now officially released in English outside Japan, shouldn't it be taken off the list? RAM 01:42, 13 January 2007 (UTC)
I've removed the wikilink to Dido (singer) because of my reasoning on Talk:Final Fantasy III Yūkyū no Kaze Densetsu. Kariteh 14:56, 11 May 2007 (UTC)
LOVE This game, playing through it right now, but the character page has no references and seems to have no prospect of having any, so it would be a great idea to bolster the main article with more detail from it, making one strong GA article. Judgesurreal777 22:41, 12 May 2007 (UTC)
I believe this article is in need of delisting or at least several major edits to maintain GA status. I feel the article fails the GA criteria in that the article is severely limited in scope, especially in comparison to its peers. -- Hydrokinetics12 ( talk) 17:38, 18 February 2008 (UTC)
This article was nominated for good article reassessment to determine whether or not it met the good article criteria and so can be listed as a good article. The consensus of the discussion was to delist it. Please see the archived discussion for further information. FightingStreet ( talk) 15:41, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Has to be re-promoted by June 10, 2008 or the topic can be removed. Zginder ( talk) ( Contrib) 21:18, 10 March 2008 (UTC)
Hey, why the mentioning of the English fan translation by Neil Corlett and Alex W. Jacson has been removed? 130.234.5.137 ( talk) 00:24, 28 March 2008 (UTC)
