I removed reference to "guipure" as this is a different type of lace, and added "Filet Brode" as another common name for Filet Lace. -- Julie E. 18:56, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Filet-Guipure appears to be another name for Filet Lace, with Guipure being something else entirely! I'll do some more research. -- pcr talk 23:03, 5 Jun 2005 (UTC)

"Guipure d'Art" was a name given to a kind of late nineteenth century lacis. - Julie E. 02:53, 6 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Darned net

Is this the same as darned net? -- 85.197.210.44 ( talk) 11:23, 1 June 2008 (UTC) reply

Need to know

what is the 19th/20thc machine-made "filet" net curtain material called, what type of machine is it made on? I presume some adaptation of a knitting machine, as it has sets of two thinner yarns running up the warp, with the heavier thread in the weft. I have to find some for restoration work. 184.148.67.117 ( talk) 22:25, 1 April 2014 (UTC) reply

Does anybody know what happened to the Arizona archive? Pages all over the web point there but the links always return 404s and I have no idea whether the documents are still available, but elsewhere, or gone for good. -- 86.5.88.131 ( talk) 01:34, 16 April 2022 (UTC) reply
