Nolli mapping as separate from figure-ground mapping

The original Nolli map is frequently referred to as an original example of figure-ground mapping in urban design / urban cartography literature [ 1], [ 2][etc]. The Nolli maps are fundamentally ichnographic, as are figure-ground maps. I think the reference to Nolli maps being separate should be removed, as they function more as a subset technique than a wholly different mapping process.
