The article mentions that Khul' law was passed in Egypt immediately after 'I want a solution' movie was released. However, this is not completely correct. The khul' law was passed in Egypt in the late 1990s/Early 2000s as far as I remember, which is long after the movie was released. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 213.131.86.194 ( talk) 09:46, 24 December 2008 (UTC)
The article looks very good; thanks for the diligent research! About the only suggestion I have for further improvement is that it'd be nice if there were a reference in the first paragraph of the "Accomplishments in Egyptian cinema" section, to back up the claim about what Egyptian cinema used to be like and how it was transformed during her acting career. Otherwise, looks very close to FA status to my eyes. -- Delirium 23:50, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
The image Image:Faten Wajhqamar.jpg is used in this article under a claim of fair use, but it does not have an adequate explanation for why it meets the requirements for such images when used here. In particular, for each page the image is used on, it must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Please check
"Hamama made her screen debut in 1939, when she was only nine years old." Is mathmatically impossible if her birth year (1931) is correct. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 139.139.67.70 ( talk) 11:26, 9 December 2008 (UTC)

This article has been reviewed as part of
Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force in an effort to ensure all listed Good articles continue to meet the
Good article criteria. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed, listed below. I will check back in seven days. If these issues are addressed, the article will remain listed as a
Good article. Otherwise, it may be delisted (such a decision may be challenged through
WP:GAR). If improved after it has been delisted, it may be nominated at
WP:GAN. Feel free to drop a message on my talk page if you have any questions, and many thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this article thus far.
At first glance this looked like an acceptable GA; it is well referenced and reasonably well written. After closer scrutiny though, it seems clear that it has some serious issues that have to be addressed before it can keep its status.
If anyone is interested in addressing these issues, please contact me, and I'll give a more thorough review. Lampman ( talk) 01:58, 7 January 2010 (UTC)
In the death and funeral section: "Faten Hamama died on January 17, 2015, aged 83 due to health problems. Her son Tarek Sharif did not state the exact cause of death."
Then in the next section: "They resided in Cairo until her death on 17 January 2015 following a short illness"
That's a needlessly verbose and clumsy way of telling that we know almost nothing about the cause of death, other that it was natural. 89.134.220.47 ( talk) 15:44, 23 January 2015 (UTC)
