I wonder if we'd be better off removing all mention of beavers in the "Fish and wildlife" subsection except in a general way in the opening paragraph. The latest addition, claiming that the 2009 beaver dams are gone, is likely true but appears to be a personal observation rather than something tied to a reliable source per WP:RS. The supporting link for the original beaver-dam claim no longer leads to a page supporting the claim, though it once did. Any thoughts about which way to go with this? The #Courses section mentions several roads by name. I suggest that we reformat them as follows: I suggest changing the way highways are mentioned in the #Course sestate highway numberction
First mention | Subsequent mention |
---|---|
Beaverton-Hillsdale Highway (OR-10) | Beaverton-Hillsdale |
Beaverton-Tigard Highway (OR-217) | Highway 217 (or maybe Oregon 217 or just 217) |
Scholls Ferry Road (OR-210) | Scholls Ferry (not actually mentioned a 2nd time) |
Pacific Highway (OR-99W) | Highway 99W (or maybe just 99W) (not actually mentioned a 2nd time) |
My suggestion is based on (1) the first mention includes the full name including the state highway number and (2) the subsequent mention uses the most commonly used name (IMHO). Comments? YBG ( talk) 03:55, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
