I'm not a registered user, and not really familiar with editing articles, but there seems to be a discrepancy; on the M16 rifle page it cites FNH winning the contract for US M16 production in 1988, and some quick googling corroborated this with a NY Times story dated Oct. 3 1988, and other confirmations, including FNH's US website. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.222.52.194 ( talk) 15:36, 6 July 2015 (UTC)
What is the FN35? Is it an 9mm pistol maded by Fabrique Nationale de Herstal? See: Indian Army-- Jcw69 13:50, 1 Feb 2005 (UTC)
Is it worth mentioning that the FN-HAR has been a staple assault rifle in the fictional Shadowrun Pen-and-Paper RPG since it's creation in the 80's?
Someone should add a page for the FN FNP-9 and FNP-40 pistol. I would do it, but I am new to this and I am still learning how to do it properly. Severelyawesome 19:13, 2 April 2006 (UTC)
i've added this as a separate page, because once racing history was added, the main page here would become too large anyway, so i avoided disrupting what careful reading showed to be an FN guns(?) page, and that was and is the companies primary activity.(and in itself a large topic.) I was not sure about categorisation, whether the category motorcycle manufacturer should be there or here, but put it there, FN (motorcycle). - FN was an innovator in the early motorcycle days. This articles makes it seem like FN Herstal is the parent company, with subsidairies Browning and US Repeating arms company. However, in reality, FN is a a subsidairy of Herstal, which in turn owns USRAC and Browning. So FN Herstal and USRAC/Browning are sister companies. all together they form the Herstal Group.
from the website www.fnherstal.com:
The Herstal Group includes Herstal, parent company and two main subsidiaries , FN HERSTAL, active in the Defense and Law Enforcement fields, and Browning / U.S. Repeating Arms Co., specializing in hunting /shooting marksmanship and outdoor sporting goods.

Why isn't this article at FN Herstal? Not only is it what the company itself usually uses (second sentence: "The official company name is FN Herstal.") but it is also more commonly used ( FN Herstal gets 158,000 Ghits while Fabrique Nationale only gets 69,900). Is there any reason why this shouldn't be moved? 69.234.96.243 ( talk) 06:16, 18 August 2008 (UTC)

Fabrique Nationale de Herstal →
FN Herstal — As noted here, FN Herstal is much more commonly used by the company itself, as well as others in general. In fact, I cannot find a single instance at the
official website where the company uses Fabrique Nationale de Herstal in reference to itself. It always uses FN Herstal.

Kind of surprising to see no mention of cars, a very brief of motorcycles and even more brief of trucks. I think it deserves more then just one sentence. FN cars had been made under license in Russia and Germany (AGA), took over Nagant from Imperia —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.134.94.21 ( talk) 12:40, 29 October 2008 (UTC)
Could someone please add something about the correct pronunciation of the company's name? Axeman ( talk) 20:47, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
One may want and update the company type data from 'private' into 'state owned' either 'government firm' or the like. For: "Since 1997, Herstal Group has been 100% owned by the Walloon Region of Belgium." It seems the Model 150 is missing.

I propose splitting the list of weapons into its own article, List of weapons developed by FN Herstal. Keeping the focus of the article on the company itself and its history would be beneficial as the article now is mostly just a list of weapons with barely any information on the company. — Ixtal ( T / C ) ⁂ Non nobis solum. 14:23, 5 April 2023 (UTC)
