Is there a possibility that Ellesmere Island may be further east than Cape Dyer (on Baffin Island)? I have no evidence that it is or is not. It is simply a question that arises after looking at maps of the area. Backspace ( talk) 23:25, 24 September 2009 (UTC)
The boundary west of Lake of the Woods is defined not by the 49° line but by the markers placed by a joint survey, which wobble along that line. From the International Boundary Commission website, I infer that the southernmost point of mainland BC is Monument 51, 48°59′50.84″N 121°44′58.03″W / 48.9974556°N 121.7494528°W; that of Alberta (and of these markers) is Monument 347, 48°59′48.04″N 111°34′29.50″W / 48.9966778°N 111.5748611°W; that of Saskatchewan is Monument 633, 48°59′55.62″N 102°27′21.98″W / 48.9987833°N 102.4561056°W; that of Manitoba is Monument 912, 48°59′55.96″N 95°17′06.10″W / 48.9988778°N 95.2850278°W. — Tamfang ( talk) 21:49, 19 October 2015 (UTC)
This pont: 51.55, -79.55 seems further West than the Westernmost point listed... — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.124.25.105 ( talk) 18:30, 5 July 2018 (UTC)
