I started this article to give European free jazz some space and to distinguish it from American free jazz. I will expand this article in the future -- Dirknachbar 01:31, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
"Today the free jazz players of the 1960s and 1970s have aged considerably." That has to be one of the funniest sentences I've ever read.
"I would agree this article needs developing, though I'm not up to the job myself. I think taking the piss out of quite good second language attempts is a bit unhelpful. "Today the free jazz players of the 1960s and 1970s have aged considerably." is true on many levels though." —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.111.169.130 ( talk) 02:37, 10 November 2007 (UTC)
Should these composers be mentioned? In 1964 Bennink and Mengelberg already played on Dolphy's album Last Date, featuring also a composition of Mengelberg. Furthermore, Brotzmann's acclaimed Machine Gun also featured Breuker and Bennink. Surely they are important figures in European Free Jazz. Are your sources not mentioning this?? 87.213.161.250 ( talk) 00:51, 9 January 2016 (UTC)

European free jazz is under Genres in the Jazz template, but also under Regional scenes. Could someone remove a duplicate? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:C7:C201:C640:392D:A0B8:2CF8:6818 ( talk) 16:33, 17 November 2020 (UTC)
