This woman was in her time regarded as a talented diplomat and a most persuasive , charming and charismatic woman whose contribution to 19th century diplomacy is not to be underestimated. I would welcome feedback as to the aforementioned and look forward to the same — Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.220.164.43 ( talk) 11:49, 4 December 2003 (UTC)
She was not officially deposed until 1871. Until then she remained legal Regent of France.-- Alexvonf 13:30, 14 June 2006 (UTC)
What is the evidence for the allegations of homosexual relationships? This seems very unlikely for a woman whose was known throughout her life to be a very devout Catholic. If this is just rumour with no real evidence, I think it should be deleted. There are always silly rumours about celebrities in any era that no sensible person would suggest to be encyclopedic information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.131.67.40 ( talk) 03:23, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

The article says that she was 18th Marchioness of Ardales, 18th Marchioness of Moya, 19th Countess of Teba, 10th Countess of Montijo and ?th Countess of Ablitas. Did she really hold these titles suo jure? Surtsicna ( talk) 20:40, 5 September 2008 (UTC)
How is her first name pronounced? And I mean an actual phonetic pronunciation, because I can't read "øʒeni". And quite frankly a phonetic pronunciation would improve the article. -- 76.115.67.114 ( talk) 11:36, 16 March 2012 (UTC)
The Legacy para about the jewellery collection and de Heeren is essentially unsourced. One cite doesn't mention de Heeren, and the dead link doesn't mention Eugénie, at least in this cached version [1]. Neither does the Aimée de Heeren article mention Eugénie.
