I beg to differ about this point. I have a great many snips of reviews of Jane Annie and many of them say that Ford was derivative, not adventurous, &c. They also say his patter songs are unhappy and he's at his best when he's making a parody. "His music is best described as polite." Doesn't sound much like praise to me. [added July 5 by SFarrell]
