Copyvio in synopsis

I have removed the synopsis which was a copyvio from http://www.operatoday.com/content/2008/02/rossini_ermione.php The synopsis needs to be re-written. Before doing so please read carefully: WP:Copyright violations, WP:Close paraphrasing, WP:Plagiarism and a useful summary at Wikipedia:Copy-paste. Phèdre et Hippolyte?

I'm not at all sure why there's a painting of Phèdre et Hippolyte on this page for Ermione. The only connection seems to be Racine. Should it be removed? Possibly moved over to the Phèdre article?

And if there will then be no picture illustrating Ermione or Andromache, Pyrrhus, Orestes, etc, should the width of the Recordings table then be adjusted? - I don't know how to do that. (Or how to move a picture, either, for that matter - I tried once and just made a mess that I had to escape back from.)

Also, I know I've recently read a brief explanation of why Tottola and Rossini decided to change the name of their libretto and opera from Andromaque to Ermione, but cannot now find that reference at all. Milkunderwood ( talk) 20:13, 23 November 2011 (UTC) reply

OK, if you look at the file name of the painting, it's nothing to do with Phèdre et Hippolyte. It turns out to be "La Douleur et les regrets d'Andrmaca [should be "Andromaca"] sur le corps d'Hector son mari by Jacques-Louis David.png". I also see that I undertook to provide a synopsis. Will do so sooner rather than later. -- Guillaume Tell 00:39, 24 November 2011 (UTC) reply
Fixed the painting pro tem (may need to move it when I've done the synopsis). I see that it's the picture on the cover of the Opera Rara recording which ought to be in the Recordings box. Don't know about the name-change (if any), but it may be mentioned in the OR booklet. It does make sense, as Ermione has a lot more to sing than Andromaca does. -- Guillaume Tell 17:30, 24 November 2011 (UTC) reply
Yes, that was the reason for the name change that I saw, but can't find it again. (No idea how it worked in Racine.) Thank you for fixing it up. Milkunderwood ( talk) 18:17, 24 November 2011 (UTC) reply
