A fact from Erie Triangle appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the Did you know column on 11 January 2005. The text of the entry was as follows: Did you know... that the U.S. federal government sold the disputed Erie Triangle region to Pennsylvania in 1792 so that state would have a freshwater port? The map shows county lines and county names in bordering states, but not for Ontario. Suggested for addition: Norfolk County and Haldimand County, both of which border Erie County. Also: remove “Province of Ontario, Canada”, and replace with “ONTARIO”, using the same all-caps type used for state names, and in the same point size. Yoho2001 ( talk) 05:56, 5 July 2022 (UTC) reply
