Horace
Obviously Horace's Epodes deserve their own article. They are some of his most fascinating and least 'Horatian' poems. I might get around to carving him out of this present article, otherwise he is bound to take it over eventually, like a graft engulfing its parent tree. But why aren't others doing this work? Where is everyone? Am I alone in Paradise? Oh Lord, thanks for these ample gardens but must I do all the work myself? Where is Eve? Where is my growing tribe of little Macs, generation upon generation, all happily labouring together in my footsteps?
