Are there any sources which describe what happened in Edinburgh during the invasion. Periodically, I add to the
History of Edinburgh article and wonder if the invasion of 1298 had consequences for Edinburgh?

Greenshed:: "Edward I - English monarchs", by author Michael Prestwich (1988), states that Edward I chose not to enter Edinburgh but skirt around the town camping at
Temple Liston (now Kirkliston). Edinburgh castle at that time was occupied by an English garrison. I will see if I can add something into the article. Regards
