Her DOB given is not the oe listed at IMDb. Is there a source for the one stated here? - R. fiend 17:27, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
TV.com had that one.

IMDB's is quite different, now I'm confused.

Can somebody get the copyright information behind the image of Emily Deschanel which was recently removed?
69.138.160.180 02:20, 2 February 2006 (UTC)
Guess I'm wrong about it. That TV.com article even contradicts the birthdate further down. And most of what I see Googling it turns up the Jan 4, 1978 one. I'll change it back. My bad. TotalTommyTerror 17:35, 12 December 2005 (UTC)
What is that? Is that a misspelling?
why cant i put an image of her that is from imdb but actually taken from wire image? Dioxholster ( talk) 01:39, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
what if i got it from imdb photo place. not sure if its licensed there, but at the time it was obtainable, not at the moment though. i got the pic from jan 20 2008 and it had vespa as the name, who i think is the photographer. which was something like this: EmilyDesch_Vespa_7744721_400.jpg thats all i know about the image. obviously the name implies that it can be reused. Dioxholster ( talk) 16:30, 5 June 2008 (UTC)
The article on the TV series "Bones" expresses the relation between Kathy Reichs's books and the TV series a bit better. The two characters named Temperance Brennan are not supposed to be identical. The TV series character is "inspired" by Kathy Reichs herself. Both characters are female forensic anthropologists, but the similarity ends there. Karlpov ( talk) 20:28, 8 September 2008 (UTC)
This is better discussed on the talk pages for the book character and the TV show character. 22:12, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
How does Emily Deschanel pronounce her surname? Just as it is read in French? It could help foreigners (like myself) if Wikipedia pages for famous people consistently included an indication as to how to pronounce their names, when that pronunciation is not obvious for someone who has learnt English as a foreign language. Thank you very much. -- Eduarodi ( talk) 22:20, 17 March 2009 (UTC)
Someone inserted _______ (personal accusation) based on a video interview. I removed it immediately since this is a living person bio, and the video doesn't reflect the claim. Just for future reference. 02:45, 12 October 2009 (UTC)
The link to a page claiming to be Emily Deschanel's official website has been removed twice. This link is linkspam, and the users involved have been warned. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Jhfortier ( talk • contribs) 04:22, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
is it just me or has any one else noticed that bones really resembles the mona lisa? did the show do this with lighting and makeup or does she just look like the painting in real life? glenda —Preceding unsigned comment added by 208.189.46.40 ( talk) 04:56, 30 January 2010 (UTC)
how about a decent photo? she is quite beautiful, and the main photo of her does her NO justice. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.224.235.191 ( talk) 03:56, 10 April 2010 (UTC)
Two comments: First of all, the person making the comment in the first paragraph should be discussing this on the page for Temperance "Bones" Brennan. This is the second (make that third, if you include the suggestion to use [[File:Temperance Brennan.jpg|250px]] , with caption 'Photograph of Brennan, as portrayed by Emily Deschanel.' as the infobox photo) time someone's been talking about Temperance Brennan on the actress's talk page. Please, people. Separation of actor (or actress) and character here. Again, this may violate the rules on personal attacks, but I'm still unclear as to whether that refers to personal attacks in general or just those against other users. 18:54, 5 May 2012 (UTC)
she isnt a real vegan, due in the photo she is using carmine wich is made by killng cochineal. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 217.217.172.243 ( talk) 23:21, 16 April 2010 (UTC)
Then we can deduce that she is a dietary vegan (someone who observes veganism only in their eating habits, whereas an ethical vegan observes veganism in choice of products, in addition to eating habits. Once we get someone to confirm this, we'll put that on the content page. 22:12, 29 April 2012 (UTC)
Just out of curiosity, since she portrays an atheist in the TV series Bones, does anyone know if she is actually an atheist in real life? TomStar81 ( Talk) 00:08, 2 June 2010 (UTC)
Completely random. Let's have that removed. 15:51, 20 May 2012 (UTC)
The information that the great grandfather of Emily and Zooey Deschanel would be Paul, president of the French Republic, is false. Paul Deschanel had two sons, one died in 1939, the other was born, lived, and died in Paris in 1963 and was a member of the Chamber of Deputies until 1940. Caleb Deschanel was born in 1944 in Philadelphia. His father could have the same name that a son of Paul Deschanel, but none of them has lived in the United States. A French genealogist has published their research on the subject [1]. While I wouldn't necessarily use it to source info added to the article, I would at this point use it as a justification to remove the Paul Deschanel info. Elen of the Roads ( talk) 13:51, 9 December 2011 (UTC)

Three sentences about here early life, four sentences about how she used her celebrity to get out of jury duty, despite her patriotic eagerness to serve. Nice sense of balance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2603:7081:4F06:2869:E00A:6041:4E3E:D02B ( talk) 14:18, 17 January 2022 (UTC)
