The articles for the neighbouring villages of Ambaston and Thulston contain next to no information other than the Domesday Book excerpt and footnotes repeated from this page. Given that they are little more than hamlets there is probably not a lot more to say about them either. Therefore as both are within the civil parish of Elvaston I reckon it would be logical to merge them here. Jellyman ( talk) 17:35, 18 April 2009 (UTC)
Does anybody know about a property called 'Rose Cottage'? My ancestors lived there until 1947 and although I have walked most of the village, I have not been able to locate it. I have been told that some properties were demolished a few years ago, where 4 newer houses are now situated on Yew Tree Lane. Ian Bower ( talk) 13:06, 5 July 2010 (UTC)
Hello, Would it be possible to include a link to the recently created Elvaston Parish website at the end of the Elvaston article? The web address is www.elvaston-pc.org.uk . The website, created by the Parish Council, is non-commercial and carries a more detailed history of the parish. Richard Strand Rstrand ( talk) 16:48, 22 November 2010 (UTC)
