The initial survey maps from the 1928 boundary demarcation show Elm point as contiguous with Minnesota by a marshy area. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 152.3.205.224 ( talk) 20:04, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Could there be a larger scope map too? I had to look at the Northwest Angle map to work out where Elm Point was. Salopian ( talk) 11:43, 15 February 2008 (UTC)
The article states:
It borders Canada at the 49th parallel and is separated (by land) from the continental United States.
Shouldn't it read that Elm Point is separated by water from the continental U.S.? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Abl703 ( talk • contribs) 17:50, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
The Northwest Angle map is pretty good for the Angle, but it is a very poor map of Elm Point. I hope someone can find us a better map.

This point borders the Canadian province of Manitoba, but it is in Minnesota in the USA. It's not accurate to call it a "Manitoba-related" article. Mal7798 ( talk) 16:00, 23 January 2011 (UTC)
Are you sure about that statement in the introduction? The aerial view on Google Maps shows several buildings that appear to be houses or cabins on the southeast corner of the point (though no roads so presumably they're accessible by water only). 70.72.215.252 ( talk) 03:52, 23 June 2012 (UTC)
There is no purpose in stubbing this article & since Elm Point is in Lake of the Woods County, the box should stay for obvious reasons. Places should not be stubs at all, especially a border irregularity. So no more stubbing & leave the county box alone please!-- 67.84.73.254 ( talk) 17:44, 23 May 2013 (UTC)-- 67.84.73.254 ( talk) 17:44, 23 May 2013 (UTC)
Recently an editor edited the Elm Point, Minnesota article locating it in Roseau County, Minnesota. I had to revert the edits; the GNIS citation has located Elm Point in Lake of the Wood County, Minnesota. The map in the Elm Point, Minnesota article also located Elm Point in Lake of the Woods County not Roseau County. Thank you RFD ( talk) 10:41, 6 March 2018 (UTC)
