Hi Benjamin,
I think you have an excellent start to your article and your revisions will be pretty easy to complete. You have done a lot of high-quality research here and, as always, your writing is strong and clear. Here are the revisions I would make: - Eliminate the "Trivia" section. There are some interesting facts here, but I worry that Wikipedia editors will take the article less seriously if it has a section of random and fairly unimportant facts like this. - I think that you're burying the lede in this story. Riley's primary significance, historically, is her involvement with the Minkins case. This is one of the four or five most famous and controversial fugitive slave episodes in US history. I would mention her critical role in your article lead (to establish notability right off the bat) and I would also put the Minkins case first under "Activism" rather than burying it down below a lot less important information about her alleged theft(which is bordering on being trivial). In other words, I would hit the Minkins case harder and earlier in the article and perhaps even give more detail about it if you can. — Preceding unsigned comment added by StaceySmithOSU ( talk • contribs) 01:04, 1 December 2018 (UTC)
