Even after reading the article, I don't know what her title was. Was she Queen of Belgium? Queen-consort or some such thing? I got here through a redirect for "Queen Elisabeth of the Belgians" which sounds a bit funny; is that a correct title for her? She married Albert before he was king; did he become king while they were married? -- Andrew 01:07, Mar 5, 2005 (UTC)
<removed obsolete WP:RM note, from the time when this page was still named differently> — Preceding unsigned comment added by Francis Schonken ( talk • contribs) 19:30, 12 September 2005 (UTC) this is her correct pre-marriage name; the renaming will cause confusion with her identically named aunt Elisabeth, Duchess in Bavaria (later Empress of Austria), but that's what the disambiguation page is for. keep the current name, because it was her real name. Antares911 16:35, 10 Jun 2005 (UTC)
This page should be moved to Elizabeth of Barvaria as per naming conventions for queen consorts. She certainly wasn't Elizabeth of Belgium prior to marriage!-- Mpokane 16:08, 10 April 2006 (UTC)
Oh my, this certainly should not be "Elizabeth of Belgium". Elisabeth of Bavaria would be correct, bit there is a crowd already. How about Elisabeth Gabriele of Bavaria. Shilkanni 22:30, 14 May 2006 (UTC)
I'm verifying information about an archival photograph of "Queen Elisabeth and her husband" attending a Holocaust memorial ceremony in a Jewish cemetery in Brussels in 1955. My questions:
Thank you for any help you can provide! -- Deborahjay 13:00, 22 August 2006 (UTC)
The current page name ( Elisabeth of Bavaria (1876-1965)) is totally unwieldy. That's not not how she's referred to, except in som genealogic directories (and Wikipedia is not a genealogic directory...)
Being bold I'm going to move the page to Elisabeth (queen consort in Belgium), which I'm sure has a much higher average recognisability. -- Francis Schonken 09:16, 24 January 2007 (UTC)
I would think she might have aggravated the oppressed peoples in those countries and perhaps all freedom-loving people, but all right. 74.225.130.13 02:20, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Reflects her married style like Queen Mathilde of Belgium and avoids confusion with other Bavarian princesses. Encumbrance ( talk) 10:31, 20 April 2023 (UTC)
