The information currently provided under Statistics is not entirely correct. While the source is credible, its data is being used improperly. I will develop two reasons for making this claim, but it is likely there are many more.
1. According to the title of the source, the data refers exclusively to “subbaccalaureate career/technical education programs.” The same source defines subbaccalureate programs as those “that are below the bachelor's degree level.” Since there are many bachelors level electrical engineering technology programs, this data cannot account for all electrical engineering technology programs as the article implies.
2. The data comes from the row titled, “Electrical/electronic engineering technology/technician,” which implies that electronics engineering technology/technician programs are accounted for by the data. While their titles are similar, there is a distinct difference between electronics engineering technology programs and electrical engineering technology programs, particularly in the United States and possibly in other countries as well.
I have therefore decided to remove this information and it's source from the article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Ciggol ( talk • contribs) 02:02, 25 September 2010 (UTC)
