Maybe add some mention of how conductance is used to work out equivilant parallel resistors? i.e. If resistors of conductance of G1 and G2 are in parallel, then the total conductance is G1+G2. After all, this is one of the reasons we use conductance int he first place. Ill add a few sections later if i have time.

Age of the term

So Heaviside coined this term in 1885 but waited two more years to come up with " admittance"? Might be true, but should be checked/verified. -- Osquar F 13:07, 22 October 2007 (UTC) reply

Orgin of G

Is it confirmed that the origin of the letter G for conductance is "Gate"? or is that a mnemonic for remembering? -- Pkatz ( talk) 13:58, 8 June 2009 (UTC) reply
