Question concerning Eleanor Holm's $30,000 a month alimony from Billy Rose in the year 1954
The bottom of the biography states that Eleanor Holm received $30,000 a month in alimony in her 1954 divorce settlement from Billy Rose. The year 1954 goes back 59 years into time. Very few citizens in the United States could have afforded to pay that kind of money at that time. Thirty-thousand dollars in 1954 is the equivalent of about $1,000,000 today. The figure of $30,000 might be a mistake in the biography.
"In 1932, she was one of 14 girls named as a WAMPAS Baby Star"
Shouldn't it be "In 1932, she was one of the 14 girls named as WAMPAS Baby Stars"--
