Why should the title be "eels" (with a lower case 'e') and not "Eels"?
Despite the album title, there's no discernable blues on any of the Eels albums that I've heard. There's a specific harmonic progression central to pretty much all blues -- a I / V / IV pattern -- and other typical features that aren't featured in the Eels' music. I'd like to remove that from the genre box. Scott.wheeler 16:46, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I've always thought that the blues in his album titles and songs meant: 'blues' as in 'feeling down' or 'upset' although i do see your point and hey, you could well be right. I know i'm sometimes wrong :o)

EELS (band) → Eels – Really a move back to where it used to be. No reason for page having been moved. Why? Why would one choose this capitalization? This was totally arbitrary, no consensus, discussion, or conventions cited. - Justin (koavf)· T· C· M 20:15, 8 September 2006 (UTC)

Ahem. Let me just say, first off, these "RM" efforts would be better spent on a request for the domain "Eels (band)". Now, since you've made this a case of "EELS (band)" over "Eels", I'll explain. The title "Eels" could easily refer to the species and several other uses. Analogy: Heroes redirects to Hero (disambiguation) as the title could be simply the plural for Hero or refer to, say, the new TV show. I've been disambiguating for hours and let me tell you, "eels" could refer to a lot of stuff, as could the all capitalized version. Thus, I cause the only remaining domain rather than doing the whole RM thing. (no offense.) Now, if you'll forgive me, the following might seem a bit rude.
It was messed up enough that this article—whose title should, without question, end with "(band)". (OVERCAPPED or lowercase)—had the domain "Eels". You people actually defending- no...insisting on it? WTF? Bottomline: plurals should, in general, redirect to the main article's title. Considering that, a link to the disambiguation page is pretty generous. ACS (Wikipedian); Talk to the Ace. See what I've edited. 02:54, 9 September 2006 (UTC)
Image:Eels - Daisies Of The Galaxy.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. BetacommandBot 05:51, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
I have removed a few external links from the page. Most were no longer active and one, Behind the Church, violated copyright in reproducing lyrics without permission (see WP:COPY and WP:EL for the policies that I have applied here.) Thanks. -- Alucard (Dr.) | Talk 22:52, 9 August 2007 (UTC)
The Rock Hard Times has been given permission to host audience recordings and other content in a review/news capacity. It is permissable as an external link. - rockoclock
Why is talk about the inclusion of 2 songs in Shrek 3 given space above the contents? This should surely be moved down? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.132.84.129 ( talk) 21:14, August 28, 2007 (UTC)
For anyone with a mind to I've a small piece of news from Eels official website on the Daisies of the Galaxy cover 'scandal'. It's about halfway down, listed under 10/30/2000. http://www.eelstheband.com/news/index00.php —Preceding unsigned comment added by 172.202.237.191 ( talk) 03:21, 24 January 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I have to go to work but ditto that. Beautiful Freak was featured pretty prominently in Hellboy 2 Deatonjr ( talk) 11:49, 15 July 2008 (UTC)
This article badly needs a rewrite, or at least a reworking. Too much of the material is utter fancruft, and a lot of it has either nothing to do with the band's notability, or is entirely unimportant. I mean, an entire section on a dog? I went ahead and removed that section, as well as trimmed down the fan section to remove some of the hyperbolic statements and unrelated portions. I mean, a karaoke contest? Hardly notable or important. On a less extreme note, I recommend that the "history" section simply be repurposed into a "history" section that includes the formation of the band, as well as more information on their activity before, in-between and after albums. (of course, only NOTABLE information.) There's definitely a ton of potential for this article, but it seriously needs some help. Also, I think that the template needs to be re-worked. I understand that there have been several members of the band, but I hardly think that 53. Remember, just because they contributed to an album does NOT mean that they were part of the band. Rwiggum ( Talk/ Contrib) 06:47, 29 December 2008 (UTC)
Someone also needs to clarify the reason for the title of Hombre Lobo. The album received its title b/c it is a concept album of sorts. The entire album is written from the perspective of a love sick werewolf that can't have the (human) girl of his dreams. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 204.1.253.26 ( talk) 18:55, 8 December 2009 (UTC)
The dog (Bobby Jr.) is really an important part of E's life, he features in most of E's video's and has even a section on the official Eels website. [1] So although it may look strange, he should be mentioned somewhere. Acriel ( talk) 13:38, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
Bad dude in love is the first solo album of E. If 'A man called E' and 'Broken Toy Shop' is mentioned under E solo records, there should be a reference of this one too. On the Eels' discography there is already a reference of it. Acriel ( talk) 13:38, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
On second thoughts, I should admit that E is rather ashamed of this LP. It was released in 1985, when he was 22. The official Eels website doesn't even mention it, but on the other hand there is already a wiki-page devoted to it [2] Acriel ( talk) 13:51, 27 April 2010 (UTC)
