"IV" is not part of Edward Shippen's name. He is the fourth Edward Shippen in the American branch of the Shippen family, but only the third to have a WP article. His great-grandfather was the first Edward Shippen in America, his great-uncle the second, and his father the third. In a similar situation, I have included birth/death dates in the article title to distinguish between the subjects. I propose to do that here, renaming this article Edward Shippen (1729-1806).
