What is the matter with his left hand? It seems it is not useable, like that of emporer Wilhelm II.-- 109.91.78.75 ( talk) 20:53, 30 March 2011 (UTC)
21 years later, Burns narrative is still gripping. Ed Bearss' contribution to this epic story needs to be noted. His eccentric style of speaking and canter is without reproach. I don't know how the documentation works on Wiki, but someone needs to make this right. Ed gives no less than 25 independent interviews and opinions during Ken Burns documentary. All of which are sensational. Someone clean this up and give the old man props!!!!! PLEASE!!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.137.205.152 ( talk) 06:10, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
...additions to this article, without sources. While I esteem the subject, and the unfinished work that has gone into bringing him before readers, this article is in largest part someone's apparent historical research about this individual, and is unverifiable, violating WP policies ( WP:VERIFY, WP:OR). I have contacted the chief contributor, asking him to return and finish his writing, indicating is sources, section by section. This must be done for tags to be removed. Readers cannot be allowed to presume that it is encyclopedic writing when it is not. Note, I am doing this rather than deleting material that is not readily verifiable, which is within an editor's right: I am doing this out of AGF, and with an expectation that the need for verifiable sources will be taken seriously. (At another BLP article, such material was just removed, and those wishing to return the deleted material then had the responsibility, per policy, only to return the material, this time, with citations. That is the next recourse, if this article does not move toward verifiability.)
But if the sources are added, slowly but surely, section by section, we can begin to remove section tags almost immediately. I look forward to a tag-free article, when a student or educator can go to this article, and then to its published sources, having confidence in this as an encyclopedia.
