I believe this section needs to be renamed and reorganized.Instead of economy of main districts, the section should be on economy of regions such as Pune-Mumbai conurbation,Marathwada,Vidarbha etc.Otherwise we will have a subsection on each district in Maharashtra.Thanks. I have reassessed this article and found that it is of mid-level importance on the project scale.
This article has been assessed as class B on the quality scale. Further suggestions to improve the article:
1. Per Wikipedia:Manual of Style (numbers), there should be a non-breaking space - between a number and the unit of measurement. For example, instead of 346 km, use 346 km, which when you are editing the page, should look like: 346 km.
2. Per
WP:WIAFA, this article's table of contents (ToC) may be too long – consider shrinking it down by merging short sections or using a proper system of daughter pages as per Wikipedia:Summary style.
3. There are a few occurrences of weasel words in this article- please observe WP:AWT. Certain phrases should specify exactly who supports, considers, believes, etc., such a view.
provided with proper citations (if they already do, or are not weasel terms, please this comment).
4. Please make the spelling of English words consistent with either American or British spelling, depending upon the subject of the article. Examples include: meter (A) (British: metre), metre (B) (American: meter), fiber (A) (British: fibre), defense (A) (British: defence), defence (B) (American: defense), ization (A) (British: isation), isation (B) (American: ization), jewellery (B) (American: jewelry).
5. Watch for redundancies that make the article too wordy instead of being crisp and concise. (You may wish to try Tony1's redundancy exercises.)
6. As done in WP:FOOTNOTE, footnotes usually are located right after a punctuation mark (as recommended by the CMS, but not mandatory), such that there is no space in between. For example, the sun is larger than the moon [2]. is usually written as the sun is larger than the moon.[2]
7. Please ensure that the article has gone through a thorough copyediting so that it exemplifies some of Wikipedia's best work.

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of Economy of Maharashtra's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT ⚡ 22:46, 9 January 2022 (UTC)

If you're showing estimated data of 2021-22 then it's better to show estimated data of 2022-23 by PRS India Budget Analysis. The revised estimated GSDP in 2021-22 was 31.97 Lakh Crore. Now it's estimated to be 35.81 Lakh Crore. Other likewise updates are required 2409:4043:501:451C:9F79:D255:5E8E:4661 ( talk) 08:32, 3 June 2022 (UTC)
