Long Beach residence would be quite surprised by this description. What the writer descibes is a minor side of the West side, east side is quite upscale, west side also encompasses fabulous schools such as Polytechnic High School and many up and coming neighborhoods. Long Beach is too diverse to be divided into east and west...too many pockets...Long Beach is also relatively safe. The west side has some fabulous Cambodian restaurants and shops, well worth visiting and very safe to go to.... —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 24.176.221.223 ( talk • contribs) .
--- yeah I definitely agree! Eastside doesn't stop at Ximeno, whether or not the gangs claim that area or not! Long Beach goes as far east as Norwalk Blvd. And absolutely *nobody* who lives here considers Daisy (or anywhere near it) part of East LB. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 210.80.248.160 ( talk • contribs) .
This article is wrong on so many levels. "Eastside Long Beach" takes its name from the east directional streets (i.e. E 3rd, E 7th, E PCH, etc.) But as a general rule its western boundary is Pacific Avenue, where the west directional streets begin. "Eastside Long Beach" is not a formally recognized neighborhood and its boundaries vary depending upon who claims them. By the way, there were plenty of East Side Longos at Wilson when I was in school, so I doubt the graffiti at Anaheim and Ximeno was the work of wannabes. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.68.34.143 ( talk) 05:44, 8 April 2012 (UTC)
