I have reverted he move to county and do no think that his article should exist as it just causes more confusion. The single article covers all incarnations rather than duplicate everything. Keith D ( talk) 19:26, 6 May 2022 (UTC) reply

Note that this split was discussed at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject UK geography#Splitting the York, East Riding of Yorkshire, Slough and Newcastle upon Tyne articles though I agree the ceremonial county should be kept at the base name. Crouch, Swale ( talk) 19:50, 6 May 2022 (UTC) reply
