Why are Five and Take That listed as associated acts? This is not explained other than a reference to E17's sales performance against the latter, which does not constitute an association. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 109.158.148.132 ( talk) 06:45, 22 November 2013 (UTC)
Geoff Montombre was also a member for a time, though he was never seen on stage or in vodeos due to the wearing of a magical invisibility cloak.

Why is Tom Watkins not mentioned? I doubt East 17 would ever have recorded West End Girls without him. -- 217.226.77.54 ( talk) 20:48, 15 August 2016 (UTC)

Mortimer's first departure and first split (1997) In January 1997, Brian Harvey was engulfed in a drug-related controversy when he claimed that he had taken Ecstasy pills on a night out, stating in the press that "It's cool to take drugs" and claiming that Ecstasy "can make you a better person". The press/UK Government and manager Tom Watkins put a spin on the story, tying it in to schoolgirl Leah Betts' death from MDMA in 1995. Band members, Brian Harvey, Terry Coldwell and John Hendy did not want to renew the management contract and because lead singer Brian Harvey had some lucrative information on manager Tom Watkins, the manager decided to set him up within an interview after band member Tony Mortimer was openly talking about the drug Ecstasy, with the same subject matter but linked it with teenager Leah Betts' death which was subsequently connected with the same drug.

Hello Binksternet, you recently reverted an edit made by User:Change from band to a trio. Though I can see that the editor in question seems disruptive, I'm not sure that their addition of two categories to the article was in any way problematic. Why did you revert it? So, I'm trying to find any scrap of information on East 17's K9 club. The frame of reference I have to its existence is a top of the pops trivia card, where it says it sold "an exclusive range of clothing [...] through the K-9 Club". The only other bit of information I found was an old member's card being sold on eBay, although there was no picture. Druss666uk ( talk) 14:29, 2 November 2022 (UTC)
